The borehole project serves the people of Basanicha Village located in Tarbaj constituency, Wajir County. The Project is complete and has improved access to safe water for the 2000 residents within the settlement. The project components included the drilling of a borehole, equipping, laying of pipeline to connect to elevated plastic tank, construction steel tank tower, fencing and installation Solar Pumping Unit. Drilling of the borehole commenced on 10th April, 2024, vide Contract No. NWWDA/T/CW/012/2022-2023 and was completed on 19th April, 2024. The test pumping was completed on 23rd May, 2024, and the borehole has a yield of 1.2m3/ hr.
