The borehole is expected to serve the people of Sigaley Village located in Balambala Ward, Balambala constituency Garissa County. Once equipped the water supply is intended to improved access to safe water for the 1200 residents of the settlement. The project entails the drilling of borehole (completed works) followed by subsequent equipping, connection to existing of distribution lines, construction of fence, rehabilitation of 2 no water kiosks installation Solar Pumping Unit. Drilling of the borehole commenced on June 15, 2024 vide Contract No. NWWDA/T/DB/010/2023-2024 and was completed on June 20, 2024. The test pumping was completed on July 4, 2024, and the borehole has a yield of 30m3/ hr.
