Ijara water supply serves the people of Masalani town in Ijara constituency, Ijara Subcounty in Garissa County. The Project commenced on 4thJanuary 2021 vide Contract No. NWWDA/T/CW/015/2020-2021 and was complete on the 31stJanuary 2022. It has improved access to safe water for the 64,000 residents of Masalani town and its environs. The project entailed the following works:

Wamba Mega Dam located in Samburu County is a 15m high zoned rock fill dam of capacity 257,335.25m3 of water.
The project entailed the laying of a gravity pipeline from the dam to the treatment plant near the town. The water treatment plant consists of a 20m3/ hr Composite Filtration Unit (CFU)
